Corrections

Every figure on this site is computed from CDC's PLACES files by an automated pipeline. If a figure is wrong, it is either an error in CDC's file or an error in this site's processing, and the two are handled differently.

Errors in processing

Email hello@healthbyzip.com with the page URL, the figure shown and the figure in CDC's dataset (the provenance line on each page links to it). Confirmed processing errors are fixed in the code and corrected at the next daily build; a reply is sent within five working days.

Errors in the source

This site does not alter CDC's estimates. A disputed estimate is referred to the CDC PLACES program, which publishes its contact details at cdc.gov/places; when CDC revises a release the next build picks it up.

Removal requests

Pages describe geographic areas, never people. A request to remove a page is answered with this policy; a page that identified a person would be removed immediately, but none is built.
